Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of Social Trivia. By hosting or joining a game, you agree to them and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
Who may use the service
You must be at least 13 years old to use Social Trivia. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must permit your use and agree to these terms on your behalf.
The service
Social Trivia lets a host create a private, unlisted game, invite players, collect questionnaire answers, and generate trivia for the group. Anyone with a valid game code or invite link may attempt to join until the host locks the game.
The service may change, experience interruptions, or be discontinued. Features, questions, scoring, availability, and retention practices may be adjusted over time.
Your responsibilities
- Use a name and submit answers you have the right to provide.
- Do not submit secrets or highly sensitive information.
- Keep game links, codes, and resume sessions within the intended group.
- Do not harass others, impersonate someone, or submit unlawful or harmful content.
- Do not disrupt, probe, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass service protections.
- Follow applicable law and respect the privacy and rights of other players.
Player content
You retain any rights you have in the names and answers you submit. You grant the service a limited, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, transform, and show that content as needed to operate games, generate trivia, secure the service, and perform the analysis described in the Privacy Policy.
Game content is intended for social entertainment and may be incomplete, surprising, or inaccurate. You are responsible for deciding what to share with your group.
Hosts and room controls
Hosts may lock or close a game, remove players, end a round, and transfer hosting. These controls do not guarantee that a code or answer remains confidential once it has been shared with another participant.
Intellectual property
The Social Trivia name, interface, software, and original game materials are owned by the service operator or its licensors. These terms do not grant permission to copy, sell, or commercially exploit the service except as allowed by law.
No warranties
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no warranty is made that it will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the service, player conduct, lost content, or service interruptions. Liability that cannot legally be limited remains unaffected.
Suspension and termination
Access may be limited or terminated when reasonably necessary to protect players, comply with law, maintain the service, or address misuse. You may stop using the service at any time and can leave or close a game through the available controls.
Changes and incomplete operator details
These terms may be updated as the service develops. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date. The operator's formal legal identity, contact channel, and any jurisdiction-specific terms still need to be added before these starter terms are treated as a final legal agreement.
